Brief History About The University and Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
Federal University Dutse received its charter from the Federal government of Nigeria on February 9th, 2011.the University is located in the capital city of Jigawa state Dutse, an ancient town in North-West Nigeria, with easy access to major metropolitan area such as Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri and Kaduna.
In view of the urgent needs to commence medical program, approval for the establishment of Faculty of Basic Medical Science in 2016 as a vital component of the Federal University Dutse.
The faculty was created to provide a strong foundation in the Basic Medical Sciences for students pursuing career in Medicine, Healthcare and related fields, with Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Medical Biochemistry in it was given. Following the Senate approval, efforts were made to put the necessary physical structures in place.

About The Conference
The Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences plays a vital role in medical conferences, serving as a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and advancing the field of medicine.
The faculty is going to host its Maiden Conference this year titled International Conference on Interdisciplinary Sciences for Healthcare Improvement “FUD-iCISH 2024” Scientific conference.
The theme of this conference is: “Connecting the Dots through Interdisciplinary Approaches to Improve Health Care System in Nigeria.
